Biography

Dr. Kashif Mairaj Deen has recently joined this group as a Research Engineer and is involved in conducting research in diversified areas of applied electrochemistry. He is working on various industrial and research projects related to corrosion, failure analyses, process design, electrocatalysis, hydrometallurgy, waste water treatment, and electrochemical energy storage. Previously, he had been working as a postdoctoral research fellow in this group since 2019. During his Ph.D. studies, he established hybrid mineral batteries that were capable of copper extraction from a mineral source in addition to energy storage. At present, he is also mentoring many undergraduate and graduate students in their research and is collaborating with various international academic, industrial and research organizations. Dr. Deen has published more than 70 research articles in journals of high repute including a book chapter and has presented his research work in various conferences.
