Biography

Amin is currently a research assistant at the Department of Materials Engineering, UBC. Amin works in UBC MTRL as a lab manager in QMI 363, focusing on corrosion, surface characteristics, and electrochemical properties of various alloys, including titanium and magnesium. His current research is focusing on biodegradable Mg alloys as implant materials. As a holding of Joint Ph.D. award with Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Monash University, he is working on the stress corrosion cracking characteristics of rare-earth magnesium alloys in physiological environments.
