Biography

Mohammad Amin has started his PhD program at the department of Materials Engineering of The University of British Columbia since January 2021. He works under supervision of Professor Edouard Asselin on the selective dissolution of alloys 400 and 800 in CANDU steam generator environments. Mohmmad Amin completed his B.Sc. in Materials Engineering at Shiraz University and his M.Sc. in Materials Engineering (Corrosion and Materials Protection) at Sharif University of Technology of Iran. During his master program, he worked on Corrosion of Advanced Materials, Li-ion Batteries, and Solar Absorber Coatings. Besides his academic experience, Mohammad Amin worked as a Cathodic Protection Engineer for about two years. In the first year of his Ph.D Mohammad Amin won the Four-Year Fellowship (4YF) award which is the most prestigious academic award at UBC.
