Biography

Raymond (Xuan Rui) Zhang is an NSERC Undergraduate Student Researcher who has recently completed his second year in materials engineering at the University of British Columbia. Raymond is passionate about research and aims to apply his knowledge to real-world challenges. Over the summer, he, along with Michael, will be assisting Kashif in projects focused on soil backfill interactions and their impact on the corrosion and abrasive-resistant performance of buried pipeline coatings. Outside of academics, Raymond enjoys hiking, playing badminton, and playing the guitar.
